    • The Mike Myers episode was a gooder, for sure. Coincidentally, not long after listening to that I stumbled on this clip of Dana Carvey on Stern (who I don’t normally listen to): I knew that Dr. Evil was a Lorne Michaels impression, but I had no idea it was Dana Carvey’s Lorne Michaels impression, and that Mike Myers apparently stole it from him. Full credit to Carvey here for not bad-mouthing Myers, even though Stern was clearly angling for it.

    • Is anyone interested in helping me get the lyrics transcribed correctly for Sleepyhead by Surprise Me Mr. Davis? I have the album version and it's hard to make out the words.  This youtube version conflicts a little bit but also helped, so I'll add that here. I'm confident with most of the words transcribed, but I highlighted those that don't really make sense.   this morning i went straight to the mountain and there i arose some sleep to the pounding of a thousand hearts dancing light on their feet i walked on my hands, spun on my head, and puffed away my sins i stepped barefoot from my bed right into the ducking jughead bins rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy how could i be so afraid through so also last night outside myself  (this is slightly different on the album) i bet the sun shines so today, like there’s love and nothing else i’ve been broke so many ways then whatever holds your spirits but just maybe like the morning rays of the sun across the hills rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy (this section doesn't appear on the album) you see i was stuck inside my head but then life pulled me right from bed saying you’re just asleep you are not dead and like mama always said  rise and shine sleepyhead, up and out ‘em outta bed the day’s a’new and love’s been lookin’ for you rub your eyes you got something to do, you’re a miracle boy
    • i clicked on the link, and saw that it was alot of recordings.   I've never heard of John Peel, so a little background is helpful.  thx.
