It was neat how the Sanctuary helped with getting updates on what was happening today while all the main news sites were overloaded. The terrapin tapes message board was the similar, there was even witness acounts of people viewing it all from their offices as it happened. h Posted September 12, 2001 Report Share Posted September 12, 2001 They reported actually that many many people in NYC used Instant Messenger and Websites to contact their families to tell them they were ok when all of the phone lines were down. (i thought it was interesting that the news anchor said "people were able to 'instant message' their families" obviously they're using Microsoft in their office.)
