Cheese evening,

Hope the subject is self explanatory. Ok you're allowed 6 members. GO!

Here's who I'd Pick:

Bass - Clickity Clack Claypool

Lead Vocals - Cherry Garcia

Drums - Charlie "all class" Watts

Lead Guitar - Trey

Keys - Ray Charles

Rhythm Guitar - Warren Haynes

Who would you pick?!?!?!??!?

Keith Moon & Topper Headon - Drums

I-Threes - backing vocals

Crosby - harmonies

Leo Noncentelli - Guitar

Martin Tielli - Guitar

Medeski - keys

Aston Barrett - Bass

Robert Plant - vox

Susan Tedeschi - vox

This would sound like a trainwreck, but I'd love to see them all line up on stage!

I think the drug trade would be happy with Moon, Crosby and Plant all in the same room. One stop shopping...

Prince - guitar/vocals/theatrics (just don't let him write anything)

Kai Eckardt - bass

Jamie Shields - keys

John Schofield - lead guitar

Zack Velmer - drums

and

Chali 2na (from J5) - MC

holy shit that would rock.

Prince is an awesome guitarist BTW

Lead guitars - Carlos Santana, David Gilmour & Steve Vai

Rhythm guitar - Pete Townshend

Acoustic guitar & vocals - Ani DiFranco & Dave Matthews

Wacky atmospheric guitar - Robert Fripp

Stick - Tony Levin

Pedal Steel - Ken Greer

Peace,

Mr. M.

Ok Fellas i think we're getting a lil off track:

Rules.

#1) It has to be only 6 members. Pick your instruments, and your SIX musicians. No one said it would be easy.

#2) They have to be able to Jam. I.e - steve vai and Pete Townshend, ok great musicians, but not about to bust into a YEM or a 'Round the wheel. You have to be able to picture them in a jam. None of this 24 member band nonsense!

Keys - John Medeski

Bass - Chris Wood

Drums - Billy Martin

Guitar - John Scofield

Turntables - Kid Koala

Sax - Maceo Parker

The first 4 are just the Agogo lineup, but I find that album to be the best combination of 4 musicians I have ever heard. When MMW play with a DJ, usualy Logic, I love it so I wanted to throw at DJ into the mix. Kid Koala is my favourite turntablist so I added him. This lineup would definately get funky and I would want a horn player who can get damn funky so there's no one else to choose but Maceo. I don't know how well this would work, but I'd expect it to be interesting at the least.

Hey there Cheesehead!

Fair enough - it was late, I got a little carried away, sorry. [Razz]

I just wanted to stick up for Vai on this - let's don't forget, he played with Zappa. I'm pretty certain the guy could look at a chart for about two minutes and be able play anything. I'm keeping him! [Wink]

All that in mind, I'll revise mine:

Bass - Oteil Burbridge

Synths & organ - Keith Emerson

Piano - Chuck Leavell

Drums - Carter Beauford

Guitar - Steve Vai

Harp & Vocals - John Popper

There ya go!

Peace,

Mr. M.

Hey Doug, I was reading this one and thinking this line-up was quite close to the real life band Frogwings:

Oteil Burbridge - bass, vocals

Jimmy Herring - guitar

John Popper - vocals, harp

Marc Quiñones - percussion

Butch Trucks - drums

Derek Trucks - guitar

Kofi Burbridge - keyboards, flute

I've got their one live album, good stuff, definitely worth checking out.

- M.
