Dave Holland is coming!

Hey all. Yup, THAT Dave Holland, the guy who played with Miles Davis on Bitches Brew and more. I saw the show last year and it was astounding. Every player is stellar and makes you wish you had ten eyes and 37 ears to fully appreciate what's going on.

I was at that show. Wow. He poured so much raw, human emotion (think Jeff Beck's covers of "'Cause We've Ended Up As Lovers" and "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat") that it was out beyond "jazz" guitar and into soundscape/music-as-feeling territory. Mind-blowing, heart-wrenching, soul-enhancing.

I'm now on the lookout for the Frisell/Holland/Jones disc (whose name is it filed under?).
