Starting this Sunday at 9:30pm and every sunday therafter

The Groovebug

Griffin's 284 Elgin St.

I will be curios to see how this room presents live music and the reaction of it's usualy "jock" clientel.

Groovebug

Billed as "an infectious funk-insect with a soul-shaking bite", The Groovebug is a 9-piece funk band from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). The Groovebug is all about 'energy' and it's their energy on-stage and in the studio that allows for a sound dripping in acid jazz and funk.

I know that The Groovebug is a band that most on this board would enjoy, I know that Griffins is a nice room(decore wise), this could be the start of yet another regular thing.

Is it possible that live music is becoming cool again?

DC and the Groovebug are decent I think...they've been around for a little while and I've played w/ a couple of the musicians. Nice guys but at times there's somthing that just isn't enough...at times it's like the hit and miss scenario w/ raggamuffin I guess...
