doubleB
Starting this Sunday at 9:30pm and every sunday therafter The Groovebug Griffin's 284 Elgin St.I will be curios to see how this room presents live music and the reaction of it's usualy "jock" clientel. GroovebugBilled as "an infectious funk-insect with a soul-shaking bite", The Groovebug is a 9-piece funk band from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). The Groovebug is all about 'energy' and it's their energy on-stage and in the studio that allows for a sound dripping in acid jazz and funk.http://www.groovebug.comI know that The Groovebug is a band that most on this board would enjoy, I know that Griffins is a nice room(decore wise), this could be the start of yet another regular thing. Is it possible that live music is becoming cool again? Giggles
DC and the Groovebug are decent I think...they've been around for a little while and I've played w/ a couple of the musicians. Nice guys but at times there's somthing that just isn't enough...at times it's like the hit and miss scenario w/ raggamuffin I guess... my$0.02...
