Hey now!

Thanks for all of the advice and pointers on the forum, site, and colours.

I haven't been able to address any yet, but I will get to them shortly. If you notice any weird crap happening in the forum, it's just me trying to get some new things working.

Having said that, avatars MAY be affected. Right now, they are disappearing because of some code that still points to the old site for the graphics. After I set up some new features, however, members may need to re-select their avatar. Have a look at which avatar you have, and write it down in case that happens.

I'm looking at a way to preserve that, but it may not be possible.

Heya,

You have a css problem in Netscape--well, the older versions, anyway.

The site won't come up in Netscape 4.x. It's looking for, and not finding, a style sheet at http://www.jambands.ca/mainstyle.css. I suspect that Netscape 6.x will ignore this problem and bumble on its merry way. IE certainly will.

I've seen this problem a bunch of times with other sites. It's usually just a case problem in the name of the file. If you're on a *NIX box and the file name in the code has *any* case discrepancies with the file name on the server, Netscape 4.x will puke.

Basically, if you feed Netscape 4.x either http://www.phishsanctuary.com/ or http://www.jambands.ca/, whatever page is called by default looks for the problem stylesheet.

I checked the HTML file generated by index.asp, but the problem file isn't listed there. I'd check the ASP source.

(It must be Friday. Of course you're not on a *NIX box--you're using ASP. Gah. Rough day.)

It's quite legal. Did I mention I have a certain talent for, y'know, dumb-ass user tricks that can break things? I don't have a nefarious mindset, so I don't have a lot of drive to do it without a good reason.
