Jaimoe
Fishman Spins Out Pork Tornado Phish drummer works with side project prior to reunion: Although Phish have called for an end of their hiatus, there's yet more fringe music to be issued by its members prior to that reunion. Drummer Jon Fishman is the third out of the gate with a side project. Fishman's Pork Tornado, which has been performing for five years, features guitarist Dan Archer, bassist Aaron Hersey, keyboardist Phil Abair and saxophonist Joe Moore. The group will release its self-titled debut, produced by Fishman and Archer, on October 1st. The group has also lined up a twenty-nine-date tour to launch on October 9th in Northampton, Massachusetts. The tour wraps on November 11th, after which Fishman will begin prepping for Phish's return to the stage. Phish's two-year break will end on New Year's Eve, when they play New York City's Madison Square Garden for a performance, followed by a three-night stand in Hampton, Virginia. The group plans to tour in 2003, in addition to recording a new album.
