Groove Fetish Posted August 28, 2002 Report Share Posted August 28, 2002 www.guelphjazzfestival.com The 2002 edition of the festival promises to be our most varied and distinctive to date, and it will offer a genuine celebration of musical surprise, innovation, and community-building. We'll be presenting world-class artists in unique configurations and intimate performance and workshop settings. In particular, the Festival will feature a number of large-scale projects. New this year also is the first part of a two year thematic focus on cross-disciplinary collaborations (involving jazz and dance, jazz and poetry, jazz and film, jazz and storytelling). This will culminate in 2003 with a 10th year anniversary celebration, featuring a number of new projects, including a specially commissioned jazz opera.
