zimmerman pt3
DUDE, check it out! 6 months ago I caught Zorn with similiar lineup here in London (UK) and it was INCREDIBLE. They weren't playing Masada material, more of a surf-esque abstract/groove flavor. However Zorn's Masada compositions are awesome. It's based on old school euro-Hasidic Jewish music (picture Rabbis dancing with their wrists in the air snapping their fingers as they circle one another in a Hora). Basically, anything with Zorn in the mix, you're bound for something unique and captivating. And with a line up like that, you can't go wrong! Also note, Marc Ribot was part of the Surrender to the Air ensemble that included Trey/Fishman/Oteil Burbridge/Medeski/Michael Ray...................
