Ms.Huxtable
Coffee seems to be doing the trick for now. I read somewhere that an apple can wake one up faster than a cup of coffee though. Sorry us schmucks have to work today at all. I should be at home resting and stretching for tonight's festivities. I was dancing in my sleep last night. CAN'T BLOODY WAIT!

bradm
Mint tea (even gum) can perk you up pretty well (I often chew some gum on the way home from a late show; it wakes me up enough to get home, but doesn't keep me up for hours after I get home, as coffee sometimes will). A bit of time in some brisk cold can wake you up, as can a bit of exercise. Try combining them, by taking a quick walk around the building. Avoid heavy amounts of carbohydrate, as that can induce sleep, as can foods that contain tryptophans, like milk and turkey. And if you can, take a nap before the show tonight. I sometimes do that for Thursday shows: I'll get home around 5pm, eat a quick dinner, and nap out between 5:30pm and 8pm or so. Aloha, Brad
