kung Posted March 31, 2004 Report Share Posted March 31, 2004 So it's my last day of work today at my current job then I have a few days off and start fresh. It's a little weird for me because well mainly I've gotten fired from most every job I've ever had (can you imagine me getting fired as if I have some sort of attitude problem). I really made a success of this gig and it payed off with a really good job to go into and the makings of a solid career. I'm just choked up because of that universal need which I know you all feel to work at something maybe not that you love but where you feel valued. All I can say to everyone trying to get a leg up is keep being creative about how you market yourself and commit yourself to a life of learning. I went from getting fired at a shitty restaurant, to desperately unemployed to getting a job creation partnership job for 6 months to a one year contract and a promising future.
