Ms.Huxtable
I used to work in a busy HR department and my job was hiring, so I have seen my share of resumes. It is quite common for people to write that they do not wish for their current employer to be contacted. Although you may think it sounds sketchy, it is perfectly normal. Try "I have several work-related references available should you wish to contact them. Please do no not contact my current employer at this time." dave-O
In my recent experience, it seems like employers are expecting this sort of thing. So no worries.
bouche
How about this? "Please don't phone my manager at McDonald's. It wouldn't go over well with him if he knew they'd have to hire another Fry attendant."
