Wanted: 500 sax players

Why?: To smash the Guinness Book Record for sax players playing a song

When: May 30th - 2pm, Dundas Square - Toronto (registration starts at noon)

What song: 'Hockey Night in Canada'

Who: Sax players - all welcome - all levels, all ages,

even if you haven't played since high school, dust it off & blow that horn!

Why? (again): To put Toronto back on the map, to launch the Shuffle Demons 20th Anniversary tour, to celebrate World No Tobacco Day, to HAVE a GREAT TIME!

The Shuffle Demons are back! Can you believe it's been 20 years since we first took the Spadina Bus? Well the bus may be gone, but the Demons Shuffle on!

We're kicking off our 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour with a show opening the

Distillery Jazz Festival (Thursday May 20th - 6:30 - 8 pm - free)

But as the title says, what we need now is sax players...and lots of them.

We launching our tour by attempting to break the Guinness Book of World Records record for most sax players playing a song!

And sax players WE NEED YOU!! Come blow your horn with the Shuffle Demons as we show the world that Toronto is back, cool, groovy and loud!

The Shuffle Demons are calling all saxes!

Come help the Demons BREAK THE WORLD RECORD

Please pass the word on to your co-workers, classmates, clients, bands, friends, lovers and family members that The Shuffle Demons are calling all saxophonists to help celebrate their 20th Anniversary by attempting to shatter the Guinness Book of World Records record for most saxophones playing one song.

On Sunday, May 30th the ground will shake and ten city blocks will hear all of us playing the legendary "Hockey Night in Canada" theme. In fact, the whole world will be watching as over 500 sax players blow their way into the record books and help put Toronto back on the map.

Sax players of all levels and ages playing saxes of all types are welcome. We also need volunteers and camera people to help document this historic event. Come have a blast as we blow them away!

Sheet music will be e-mailed to you when you sign up.

Registration starts at noon. World Record Attempt at 2pm.
