bradm Posted May 18, 2004 Report Share Posted May 18, 2004 In case you missed hearing about it The Jimmy Swift Band is playing Mavericks in Ottawa on Wednesday, May 19. Their last show here, a Saturday in early February at Cafe Dekcuf was incredible: the bar was more packed than I'd ever seen it, and JSB blew our heads off. But that was a Saturday gig, and this one's on a Wednesday, so I think we need to seriously muster the troops, and show the bar and band just how much 'er we can give on a mid-week school night. They broke out a flock of new tunes (all at least good if not great). did second set stuff (e.g., "Now They Will Know We Were Here") in the first set, and filled up the second set with what can only be described as indescribable (including "Elsie").It started late (just before 11pm), ran late (2:15am?), and required enormous reserves of give'erity, but it was worth it.Aloha,Brad Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
