AdamH
I'm volunteering for backstage hospitality at the Bluesfest this year, and during our on-site orientation last night learned that: 1. Bryan Adams and crew have their own chef 2. Blue Rodeo (wtf?) has the biggest liquor rider so far 3. Nelly Furtado has requested a "no smoking" area backstage...at this outdoor festival 4. The tragically hip, who usually ask for nothing special in their riders, usually show up and make lots of crazy demands once they get there. This year they've put a runner on-call for them just in case...and they're a security nightmare because many many ticketless fans try to get in for free. This is turning out to be a pretty sweet gig I think! I'll report back on any artist run-ins or behaviour that warrants posting.
bradm
If you know of any after-shows (like the one at Irene's tonight), definitely suggest it to any performers, big or small, you strike up conversations with. Aloha, Brad
bouche
The George Throroughgood crowd should be interesting tonight. I think Freeker will be soliciting them tonight with the posters I made. What shows are you working at hess? Do you have an open schedule?
bradm
See if you can equip Freeker with a DiscMan stocked with Bullmoose's CD to give any flyerees the chance to listen to what they'd hear if they showed up. (Think of it as "personal audio flyering"...) Aloha, Brad
AdamH
I'll drop a few mentions where possible. Do you know what I look like? If you see me give me some flyers and I'll pass them around. Schedule wise, I am at the Black Sheep Stage tonight, the Main stage Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, and then the Black Sheep and Main Stages on Sunday next week. AdamH
Bouche, I just emailed you a wicked-ass picture of me and Katie doing a christmas card pose. If you host it I'll post it. [added by bouche]
