PhishyK
It was an awesome show. I felt like I witnessed something special, especialli when the original drummer (Stephen) joined the band for 2 separate songs. Sweet! Wassabi seems to have really matured since their move to the Kootenays. They were much more relaxed and irie, and it was a pleasure to watch. Scotty the bassman told me they were trying to 'decaffeinate' their sound. Great way to describe it. Lots of good reggae too, and that made me feel good. It was a fun night! I'd recommend checking out their new sound. Did anyone on here get to see Wassabi on this tour? rock on ::
bradm
I saw them in Ottawa (June 21), and liked it a lot. It was "less tribal, more pimpfunk" to my ears (with a bit more reggae, too), and loads of fun. Aloha, Brad
c-towns
I saw them a while back in Calgary, near the start of the tour. I miss the old drummer, but they've still got it goin on.
paisley
right on that Stephen jumped in, that'd be fun... ya, I really enjoyed the band the couple of times I saw them when they were down this way... sometimes it got a little too reggae-y for me but there was enough Wassabi still happening to give me a really fun night of dancing each time... new players were definately holding their own say hi to Scotty from Jhamie and Stu if he's still around town, it was great to meet his and Heather's baby (born on the same winter solstace birthday as me, crazy blue eyes and all)
