secondtube
I have a computer that i just installed a new harddrive in, and obviously the customer has no original discs... The motherboard does not clearly identify the brand in writing, so i need to figure out what brand and model it is, so i can get the drivers for the onboard sound, video, and ethernet. I'm sure there are programs out there that just ID hardware. Anyone know of any or use any? Thanks in advance as always.
CyberHippie
You gotta love trying to ID hardware so you can find the drivers... (I'd rather listen to Nickelback). I'm really suprised there are no markings or hints as to what it could be... Must be pretty generic.
secondtube
using the bios id string i was able to determine the motherboard, but i still can't figure out what this stupid nic card is... why doesn't everyone use dlink, the world would be much simplier.
