The Flying Buttresses are an alternative rock quartet, whose musical eclecticism and vibrant live performances are catching the attention of music lovers across Canada. Carving out dynamic sonic landscapes, and leaving no musical atmosphere untouched, the Buttresses are quickly emerging as the new hope for live music today.

Creating music influenced by rock, funk, fusion, folk, raga, and reggae to only name a few, The Flying Buttresses put on a live performance as diverse as it is intense. Its members are young and multi-talented, Jim Barr (vocals, bass, guitar, didjeridoo), Don Mackay (vocals, guitar, mandolin, violin, banjo), Jonathan Tyrrell (vocals, guitar, bass, drums), and Brian A. Urbanik (vocals, drums & percussion, guitar), have entranced crowds since 1998. Inspired by a spectrum of heroes covering Art Blakey to Neil Young; The Allman Brothers, The Meters, Tool, Rheostatics, Phish and U2, The Flying Buttresses make use of their four song-writers' dexterity to bring a scintillating aural montage to the forefront of every show.
