Marky
So is this a group that will sustain itself in Toronto. I mean One great sellout show with the help of Fishman and one bomb at Club 279.. Would love to hear what the community thinks>>/
Booche
I got one comment.............. What? Would they be worth it without Fishman? Personally, I dont live in TO, but if I did, I would go in a second. Jamie Masefield is a God. Hell, depending on the weekend, I would strongly debate driving from Ottawa. boogieknight
i think you'd sell alot more tickets if fishman is there. either way, i'd still check it out. I'm still voting for fareed haque group. he needs to to play in toronto big time.!!
dave-O
That 279 show may have bombed attendance wise, but musically it was fantastic. I'd guess that the lack of turn out had as much to do with Phil & Friends the night before as it did with no Fishman.
Weirdness
I would file these guys under "Jazz lite" but they're still a lot of fun to see. As long as there are no other big shows on the same night I'd have to think that they'd draw a fair crowd. Far as the Fishman thing goes, I caught the show they played at the Tralf where Nero opened and the drummer that they had blew Fishman out of the water!!! It's a rotating lineup far as I know so it's hard to say what you're going to get. Just found out the players on that particular night-Danton Boller-Bass, Dan Weiss-Drums.
