Del
Lucky Lager is now $15 for 12 and $29.95 for a 24... As a few of you may or may not know, I'm a Lucky drinker...I was disheartened to go to The Beer Store and find out my favorite brew has been jacked up $3 a 12... I mean, I'll still buy Lucky, but those $3 increments are going to kill me!
M
Gotta get on the Bohemian, Del ! It's our new fave at our house for ghetto beer. It's not bad at all. All prices include GST, PST, and Deposit 12 Bottle 341 ml 12.00 24 Bottle 341 ml 23.
Del
I've done the Bohemian thing... It's not bad. But believe it or not, I actually drink Lucky 'cause I like it! It started off as a money thing, but I've acquired a certain taste for it... Now if they'd only sell Lucky in bars, I'd be in heaven... (Well, that and lower the god damn price again!)... Esau
You'll be not to pleased to know that it will only go up as the weather gets nicer too,or so I was told today at the beer store. Looks like its Lakeport for the cheap (somewhat good beer) same price as M's Bohemians.
Del
That's weird Esau, the lady at the Beer Store said she expects that no one (besides me, of course) will pay $15 a 12... I hope my source is right and your's is wrong. Thanks for the heads up though...
crazykorey
seems to be still 23.70 for the good old lucky here in woodstock and they told me that it isn't about to change.
M
Del - I think you should picket the beer store. Make a placard saying something like "Not feeling so Lucky today" on one side and "Lucky beer raises prices " Get the media behind you, maybe you'll get some free beer for being such a loyal / irate customer. They'll either reward you or try to keep you quiet. Either way, there could be some free beer involved.... enough to make up the difference of paying for a few 24's at the higher price. Just a thought...

SolarGarlic
Now if they'd only sell Lucky in bars, I'd be in heaven... (Well, that and lower the god damn price again!)... Come on out to Calgary!! Aparently they sell cans of it a local venue, Broken City. Used to be pretty cheap, not sure if they still sell it though... Del
Cans? Of Lucky? When I was in B.C., EVERYONE drank out of cans... (Are they still cheaper than bottles out there?). They only sell Lucky in 355mL bottles in Ontario, at least as far as I've seen...

Don't know if bottles or cans are cheaper though...anytime I'm buying I always buy bottles..
Del
Maybe it is (was) a B.C. thing... I think it had to do with recycling being so big, and cans being easier to recycle than bottles, or something like that... You should try bottles, maybe you'll see what I see... ggrtrhhrtgg
I suggest Black Label, cheap n, not only can you find it at some bars, but, its guaranteed cold, and its like having a well trained dog at the bar. You can put it down and leave it anywhere, and you don't have to worry about who's beer the Black Label is, its yours!! ::
SolarGarlic
Last time I had Lucky, or Black Label for matter, was during the Flames awesome run last year. It still stings..the loss and the beer

c-towns
Chatham has infested Calgary quite nicely, pretty sure we could contend with some sort of all-star Ontario team, we don't want to start another east west dilemma, we know where we stand.
