AdamH
As the avatar suggests I am a big, albeit newer fan of Joe Pass. Does anyone have any of his shows and want to do the B&P thing for them?
Thumpin
I did have the privilege of seeing him once. One disc I highly recommend is Joe Pass playing with Nils Henning Orsted Petersen at the North Sea Jazz Festival, One of the best guitarists in the world with one of the best bassists--absolutely phenomenal bass playing--watched by one of the most polite and respectful crowds imaginable, it's brilliant any record store should be able to get it for you, it's under the Northern Nights series I think. Good luck, buy it and I garantee you will not be disappointed.
Jaimoe
You don't need to search out bootlegs of Joe. His studio and live albums are great.
Velvet
Joe Pass is a god. I spent four months learning his version of Satin Doll. That´s when I really started to appreciate him. Like everything else I guess.
Booche
Funny enough, I spent 4 months learning Pumpkin. I had to slow the record down and everything to get those sweet licks.
