The Scarlet > fire is my favourite from this show.Going give it a listen right now, saves me diggin up the disc.Cheers

I also have the Clash set from the next day of this festival.

Grateful Dead & The Clash on the same bill...fuck I would have loved it.Strangely enough though, less then 2 years later I saw both The Clash & the GD for the first times.(at different times of course)

My old boss at the tennis club in Stratford went to this show, lots of good stories from there for sure.

The B-52s, Joe Jackson, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Jimmy Cliff, Peter Tosh, Beach Boys also played, among many many others... I *think* he told me the Police and Elvis Costello were there too, but I could be wrong about that.

Hey Esau

Was that the Combat Rock tour at the CNE when you first saw The Clash?

I believe Balck Uhuru opened the show.

That show as the summer before actually.

The show I caught the Clash at was at Maple Leaf Gardens in 1984 (april 30th) it was the "Out Of Control" tour, the only original members were Strummer & Simonon.Mick Jones had just left the band earlier that year.

Messenjah (from Kitchener) opened.

ticket price was $14 (coincidently,I was 14 years old at the time)
