bradm
I just checked the Mavericks calendar, which now includes June, and they have The Golden Dogs (along with Clothes Make The Man and Iconoclast) listed for Friday, June 17.Aloha,Brad
TomFoolery
What genre of music do they play?
bradm
What genre of music do they play?I think they'd be categorized as "indie-rock"; they're definitely not a jam-band. (I saw them at Dekcuf a while back, and it was sort of like having Ween play in your living room.) Others might be able to give more info than your humble scripe.Aloha,Brad
AD
Uh yeah.... They're playing on May 16 at 7 pm at the Tulip Festival too, opening for Lowest of the Low and the Joel Plaskett Emergency.AD
Dr. J
What genre of music do they play?about the only term that comes to mind is power-pop. The kind of thing that the Kinks aand Small Faces were doing in another era and Rod Stewart for that matter before he starting doing.....whatever he does. The Golden Dogs do stellar covers of Neil Young's Helpless and McCartney's 1985 if that helps to locate them. A fun live band  2 thumbs up
