Rob Not Bob
Just looked at the Blues Festival schedule and, while Susan Tedeschi and the Allman Brothers Band are still listed as on for the second Friday night, the Derek Trucks Band set that was scheduled in between them has vanished from the list. Does this just mean that Derek's own band won't be playing, or will he also be gone from the Allman Brothers performance? (That would be strange, seeing as how his wife is there playing before them). Anybody have a line on this? Rob Not Bob worrywart
Big Wooly Mammoth
I think it just means that the Derek Trucks band isn'y playing. I'm pretty sure he's still in the ABB. I was checking out his site a couple of days ago and bluesfest wasn't listed under his tour dates. i was hoping that was an error. that sucks...... (daniel lanois has been added!!) ollie
Trucks will be playing with the Allmans... a reply from the Bluesfest organizers confirmed that. Oddly enough, the excuse that was given is that Derek didn't want to play with two bands in a row. That just doesn't sound right as we all know how jam bands pride themselves on stamina. And besides, it just means he's gonna play longer with the ABB. I would have hoped for a Mule, or solo Warren, replacement. I'm so jacked that Warren is gonna be ten minutes from my front door!!
