John K. Samson is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He is the frontman of The Weakerthans and a former member of Propaghandi.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Samson is also a founding member of Arbeiter Ring Publishing, a Winnipeg, Manitoba publishing collective. Samson is active in the Winnipeg arts scene, collaborating on projects with notable artists such as Christine Fellows and Clive Holden.

Christine Fellows lives in Winnipeg. She writes stories, punches them full of holes, fashions them into songs using anything she finds lying around, scrapes them clean, and delivers them to us in a voice that is at once immediate and utterly original. Her work has often been described as filmic and sparse, carefully crafted "handmade folk" that would be as fitting performed in an orchestral setting as it would be on a rickety back porch. Her albums feature inventive arrangements for strings, piano, percussion, field recordings, loops and samples.

An integral part of Winnipeg's vibrant arts community, Fellows is an avid collaborator, and she has been commissioned to compose for dance (Trip Dance Company, Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers, and Toronto's Dancemakers), television (CBC Television's Landed), radio (CBC Radio One's Seven Deadly Sins and All for a Song), spoken word and film (Trains of Winnipeg CD + film). She is currently working on a project to compose for solo cello and pre-recorded sound with her long-time collaborator, Leanne Zacharias.

Fellows' live performances have been hailed as "jaw-dropping." She has performed at SXSW festival in Austin, TX, Calgary and Winnipeg Folk Festivals, Hillside Festival, Ottawa Folk Festival, Halifax Pop Explosion and the Frostbite Festival in Whitehorse, Yukon. She has shared the stage with The Weakerthans, Veda Hille, Carolyn Mark, The Handsome Family, Joel Plaskett, Feist, Martin Tielli, the Waifs and the Rheostatics.

Christine Fellows has released two critically acclaimed solo albums in Canada: 2 LITTLE BIRDS CD (2000), and THE LAST ONE STANDING CD (Six Shooter Records 2002). Her third, PAPER ANNIVERSARY CD, will be released in Canada on June 7th, 2005 on Six Shooter Records (distributed by Warner Music). Both THE LAST ONE STANDING and PAPER ANNIVERSARY will be released on Six Shooter Records in Europe in 2005.
