Booche
Mike Modano isn't going anywhere. In fact, the 35-year-old has reportedly signed a five-year deal with the Dallas Stars, according to RDS. The Boston Bruins were hot on Modano's trail, but the 15-year NHL veteran decided to remain with the organization that he's been with his entire professional career. According to reports, the Bruins had offered Modano a four-year deal worth $20 million. Modano has played in 1,101 career games, and has accumulated 458 goals and 648 assists for 1,106 points. He was originally drafted 1st overall by the Minnesota North Stars in the 1988 draft.

dave-O
I wouldn't be surprised if the Stars figure out a way to keep Modano happy and keep him in Dallas.

Guest Low Roller
Oop. There we go. He signed. I wonder what the issue was originally. His new four year contract includes a no-trade clause, so maybe that's what he wanted.
dave-O
Modano, Stars agree to five-year dealIt's basically the same money he turned down, so yeah, the no-trade clause was likely it.
