Dickey will never be welcomed back into the band:August 24, 2005 -- GUITARIST Dickey Betts — kicked out of the Allman Brothers Band because of his excessive partying — is still at it. After a two-night stint at BB King's, Betts, the original Ramblin' Man, did a one- night at the famed Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J. Arriving too late for a sound check, Betts was so "tired" that he fell down when he bent over to look at the set list on the floor. Later, he lost his temper, muttered some indecipherable comments and tried to rid himself of his guitar. Betts got tangled in the strap, became even more frustrated and stormed off the stage.
