voodoolady
I don't know much about this feller, but I heard he'll be playing in NYC Central Park while we are there next week...should we check him out for 40 bucks?

Esau
Jack's good music in my opinion.I'd say give him a go if your in NYC loads of folks will be out thats for sure and $40 bucks aint too bad I think.Although I wouldn't pay it.You can get a listen to his live music here:http://www.archive.org/audio/etreelisting-browse.php?collection=etree&cat=Jack%20Johnson

Sunshine
I'd pay $40 to see him (but he's not for everyone I guess)I'd say if you have an extra $40 bones and nothing to do....then go experience a concert in Central Park! rubberdinghy
Interesting....I guess it'll be one of those things...Maybe if I run into the Donald, I'll get him to take us there....and I'm always down for impressing my lady!Anybody know of anything else going on in New York next week, I was hoping to get a MMW show at Tonic but it looks like they are heading off to the UK. M
What days are you guys going to be there for? There is an amazing music festival that takes place from the 14th to the 17th. Tons of incredible performers... Check it out at www.cmj.com/mmsplash.html Edited September 6, 2005 by Guest
bradm
The Jambase NYC listings are here. It looks like Sigur Ros is doing a couple of nights at the Beacon next week, and Kaki King is playing next Wednesday (the same day Feist is at The Knitting Factory).Aloha,Brad
Ms.Huxtable
I'd pay $40.00 USD to see him... naked. Other wise I'd use the money to fill our gas tank up a quarter of the way.
StoneMtn
He's *fine*. His music reminds me of a slightly more boring Ben Harper. I've seen him play and it was barely memorable. If you go, you'll probably enjoy yourself, but don't expect to be blown away. (I'd rather watch him competing in a surf competition, personally.) Tooly
well, im not a lady in any form or shape, but id go check it out, ive been diggin jack since his first cd years ago, its good relaxing music, mostly acoustic, sometimes reggae, very chill. 40 bucks is about right for any show now a days
rubberdinghy
We'll be there the 11-14...Thanks for the help!!!John Scofield plays the music of Ray Charles! that could be cool!
Steve from Cleveland
meh... I've seen him a couple of times, and the shows (In my opinion) are rather forgettable... I really enjoy his music, but as a performer, he leaves something to be desired... I'd be more apt to spend 40 bucks on all his CD's than to go see him again in concert... And of course, be prepared to deal with his 'fans' which include the Ambercrobie Crew and the prevailing attitude that comes along with that. Not sure if you know what I mean...? TomFoolery
Jack Johnson has given hope to another generation of 'almost talented' singer song writers. Its not a nice thing to do.
