Birdy Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 i'm trying to map out a year of possible shows and festivals since my job requires me to travel and be away so much.just wondering if anyone has ventured out to this festival in illinois and what you think of it? it's under a half days drive for me and is showing three nights of moe and two of umphreys.anyone been? shitidiot Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 i was there once. cool spot. had a late night barn with jams all night & work shops with the musicians all day. i think its a park, ride a bus then camp which kinda suck but the camping was in the tree which is nice. all in all it was a cool fest. Posted January 5, 2006 Report Share Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) i went 2 years ago....it has potential...PROS: you camp in the trees...very coolmoe. headlines at least 2 nightslots of other great bandsworkshops with musiciansCONS:late night barn gets insanely hot and rammedyou have to buy camp tix,late night tickets,park ticketspoor schedeling conflicts...soo many bands..but osme of them only play for like an hour.when i was there, a tornado hit and 1 day got canceled.overall, its a good fest...but its like any other middle of the road fest...nothing too crazy.i won't drive that far for it again.moe. headlines...but it doesn't have that same moe.down vibe that moe.down brings..
