[blurb]Make it Funky celebrates its One Year anniversary with a Mega Show featuring Washington DC's Breakbeat-Funk pioneers Fort Knox Five with support from Toronto's own deep funk collective King Sunshine, Toronto breaks mainstay Big League Chu and many more. Capping off a year of exclusive events that have introduced first time to Toronto acts such as All Good Funk Alliance (Washington, DC), Kid Gusto (Washington, DC), Smalltown DJs(Calgary), Mat The Alien (Whister, BC), Wax Romeo (Calgary), Robb G (Toronto), Dave Dub (Toronto) and more.. Make it Funky brings it all back home with a encore presentation of the group that started it all off Fort Knox Five!! [/blurb]

I was there Mr.Slippery. Great show. King Sunshine kicke serious disco ass! And the sound up there was great. Looks like they've upgraded a bunch in there in terms of sound equipment.

Fort Knox 5 was enjoyable too, he was doing many on the fly remixes with old classic rock records and bed tracks of breaksbeats on cd, then syncing them by hand. Simple but effective.

Good times, great turnout. :)
