Ms.Huxtable
I borrowed a pressure washer from work and had a wonderful morning cleaning our deck, spa, patio furniture and the siding of the house. (Those of you who own a home will understand how that can be a wonderful morning- Plus I'm not at work).Anyway, I took a break, went to get some more gas, had some lunch and went to get started on the front of the house and driveway. It worked the way it had all morning for about 10 minutes then I moved it to a different location (While still running) and a big puff of smoke came from what looks like a muffler or filter of some sort and now it won't work.Any suggestions? Ms.Huxtable
Oh yeah the starter is really stiff now. This morning it always started on the first pull.
mattm
Do you have a camera you can quickly take a picture of what smoked? Someone is sure to recognize it.

Sunshine
Hey sweetie - are you sure it was suppose to take regular gas, and not a special mixture? just curious
Ms.Huxtable
Yeah that's a specific question I asked when I borrowed it. Just regular gas.

bradm
For some reason I have the phrase "vapor lock", said in Joe Namath's voice, running through my head...(That said, I have no idea what the problem could be. Did you try letting it rest for a while and giving it another go?)Aloha,Brad
Ms.Huxtable
It's been sitting for an hour and a half now. All parts are cool (they were hot).I dunno.
Birdy
i asked a few of the car guys in here and got a couple of different responses:first.. does it take oil at all? doesn't have to be a mixture but in a different spot? if so, check the oil levels.second.. check and see the position of the choke. if it's full choke the engine can't breathe and won't start.or third.. one guy said that his gives him a hard time when he has it connected to the water full blast.. try turning the water connection off, starting it, and then turning it back on.hopefully these are of help. bradm
Have you tried looking for a manual for it on-line? (What's the make and model?) If you can find one, it might have troubleshooting tips in it.Aloha,Brad
Ms.Huxtable
Oh man I feel silly. Our neighbor came by to help and had it fixed within 5 minutes. I put too much gas in it and flooded it. He dried off the spark plug and bingo bango, my driveway is now sparkling. Thanks for offering advise.
