ollie
I find myself drinking a lot of Tankhous Ale lately. I'm not usually a fan of "dark" beer but this is an exception.I'd probably rank Mill St. as one of the best current microbreweries in Ontario for taste and consistency. ollie
ollie do you buy that locally or at the big lcbo on rideau? Both I suppose, that's my local LCBO. You can get it at most Beer Stores too. I'm sipping on a Robert Simpson Confederaton Ale right now, my current favourite.
AD
the big LCBO distribution centre (i call it the liquor castle) out bank street just before the bridge to south keys has a big selection of beers too. it's on the west side of bank street just before the home depot. Blane
Just got to Seoul after a warm and sunny trip in Bali, and am drinking a tall-boy of Cass (rhymes with Ass for a reason) and thinking enviously of the tasty brewery I found in Bali:Storm Brewing Company. They make a really great pale ale that was perfect for those "32 in the shade" kind of days. Bottle fermented, with nice malty flavour and good citrus hues. It was so nice to find a delicious microbrew in Asia, a place where Budweiser-style beers tend to be king.
Rossolee
I've enjoyed some tasty beer over the holidays so far... ollie
i noticed they (mill st) had a few other varieties as well (didn't notice the coffee one though). anybody tried the other ones?I'd stay away from the Stock Ale but the Coffee Porter and Organic Lager are both excellent. Shame the Lager doesn't come in regular size bottles.
bradm
It's almost as if the Lager bottles (which are 222 mL; Tankhouse comes in regular-size bottles, but contain 355 mL) are intended for a quick quaff rather than a deep drink. I'd love to try it on draft.Aloha,Brad
Esau.
I think thats because lager is a ladies drink, sorta like tequlia rose. Drink ale or bourbon.
Davey Boy 2.0
My folks (ie my Dad) got me a bottle of this for Xmas- it was delicious. Strong rich earthy flavours, reminiscent of a unibroue- possibly Maudite. You wouldn't wanna drink 20 of them in one sitting though
bradm
I gave my brother a bottle of that, too. I haven't heard back from him yet, but I'm not worried, as I think the label indicates you can age the stuff for a while.Aloha,Brad
ollie
Look what I found at the Rideau St. LCBO on Saturday!! I took the last three sixers on the shelf but I hope they have more. American microbrew is the shit.
Jakis
St. Ambroie Apricote Wheat Ale. The best beer I have ever tried. Bought 12 last night. Going to pick up more today. Also, tried mill st. coffee porter. It was really good but can not drink more then 1 or 2 in one sitting. Edited March 3, 2007 by Guest

dave-O
St. Ambroie Apricote Wheat Ale. The best beer I have ever tried. Bought 12 last night. Going to pick up more today. McAuslan/St.Ambroise is my favourite brewery these days. The Apricot Wheat is golden nectar. The Oatmeal Stout is like none more black.
PassedOutGuy
im on board with the Apicot Wheat as well. Mind you it is secon to my favourite Number 9 as well. I actually tried the Brooklyn Lager last week as well and enjoyed it muchly!! But at 12 a 6 pack it may be back to the ol' Lakeport Pilsner for me for a while. Rossolee
For fans of Apricot wheat/fruit beers such as Magic Hat #9 or St.Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale- definitely try Pyramid Apricot Weizen! We picked some up last week in the states... great stuff.
Del
Delirium Tremens is pretty tasty. And at 8.5% (I think), it'll get you wasted too. It's still no Lucky Lager, but it's a treat when I go to Quebec.
