BURGERS!

I try to avoid the white spot, unless I'm on the ferry. They have exclusive rights to the food sold on the ferry which makes for a $9 burger. Admittedly they're pretty good but after getting hosed so many times over the years I find it really hard to give them any of my business while on solid land.

Haven't been in here for a while hope this response is still relevent.

what do you mean by getting hosed?

I've also found myself linked in a LOT (about 50?) weird forums. You'll see some mildly humorous discussions on those forums.

www.shroomery.org

Here are a couple of interesting stats to summarize the experience:

Total calories: 19490 calories

Total eaters 8 (2 girls and one guy who already ate dinner and only ate 6 patties)

Most patties eaten by one person : I think I ate about 20. I think Nalin ate about 20 as well (including the raw ones)

Time to finish : less then 2 hours

Number of people who barfed : 1 (way to go Elena!)

yeah i didnt think they would. its disgusting anyways, 100 patties, 100 slices of cheese, only 1 bun.

'making turkey burgers tonight, pretty stoked about it. this time it's Jarlsberg being shredded into the mix instead of cheddar.

the plan:

minced turkey

red onion

parsley

garlic

Jarlsberg

various spices

egg

beer

that's going to be it i think, going minimalist this time around.

is there anywhere around these parts to get mini burgers (a la krystal or whitecastle)?

also turtle jacks has them as an appetizer now, slyders they call them. 4pack for 8 bucks or something, they have deepfried pickles as well. not sure if there is one in ottawa.

i love how the wait staff there always whisper in your ear as they give you your food, "You're going to love this"

Are you allowed to whisper in their ear(s) back to them, to tell them exactly what you desire?

Aloha,

Brad
