On the cusp of its 6th year anniversary, let's revive the tradition.

Radiohead - In Rainbows - Essentially this is a one disc rotation list. Addictive, complex, not to be ignored

Grand Theft Bus - 10.06.07 - Welcome back to flavor country. Tasty.

Ween - La Cucarachca - Listening in an attempt to like half the album before the T.O. show

Miracle Fortress - Five Roses - Late to the party, happy to be here.

Band of Horses - Cease To Begin - They had me at hello. No Sophmore Jinx here.

Single of the Month - Wintersleep - Weighty Ghost = generally dislike this band, LOVE THIS SONG!

Radiohead - In Rainbows (duh!)

Stars - In Our Bedroom After The War (took me a while to warm up to this one, now I'm digging it minus a couple tracks that are a bit too 'Les Miserables' for me, lots of GREAT Evan Cranley bass lines)

Iron & Wine - The Shepherd's Dog (more percussive, but still I&W)

The Besnard Lakes Are The Dark Horse (looking forward to seeing them tomorrow night)

Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (worst album title ever?)

4.Umphreys Mcgee-Live at the Murat*** (brand new today highley recommend)

I am definitely going to be checking it out based on this alone:

"Angular Momentum" is the name of a brief improvisation here: three minutes of guitarist Jake Cinninger and drummer Kris Myers ripping in supercharged tandem, like the White Stripes high on the first Van Halen album. That title is also an apt description of the exuberant interplay connecting the tangled rhythms and pop-wise songwriting all over this Chicago-based sextet's first official live album, taped over two nights in Indianapolis last April. Umphrey's McGee are a jam band in that they jam at length. But they surge with purpose, shuffling spontaneous and written passages in "In the Kitchen" and steadily ascending to a thundering-Pink Floyd resolution in "Higgins." And just as classic Grateful Dead concert records like Live Dead were carefully culled from great runs, Live at the Murat is a diligently constructed experience, combining songs and medleys from four sets into a two-CD suite of peaks that proves Umphrey's McGee always have destination on their minds, even when they fly free.

Sigh, I'll bite.

I'm spinning:

"Ooooh Look At Me And My Diverse Music Tastes" by The Who Cares Orchestra.

Next up on the playlist

"Who the fuck asked me?" by the Don't Like It, Don't Read It Quartet

followed by the after hours classic

"Lefty or righty, I'll let the klennex box decide tonight" by Ted Carpel and The Tunnel Syndrome (copyright me, as of this moment)
