Basher Posted November 2, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 2, 2007 Um, yeah, I don't think the name of the currency has anything to do with the "hoopla".The fact that when we travel to the USA our dollar is worth more than 50% more than it was a few yeard ago (70 cents to 110) has more to do with it. I just wanted to use the word "hoopla" in a post. Good point about the "inferiority complex", which I think is uniquely Canadian. What's the yen worth, less than a cent? This has been amazing for my parents who bought a place in Arizona when the Canadian dollar was worth 80cents. It is saving them thousands of dollars. I booked our family vacation just as the dollar hit par ... 4 x airfares, 1 x rental house are a wayyyyy better deal.
