Bluegrass/Acoustic jams around Hamilton?

Hey folks ive really been getting into the banjo lately, and was wondering if there is any sort of bluegrass scene around. I usually have a jam around once a week at my place. Wondering if there if there are any others kicking around to possibly have a great night of jammin.

As far as bluegrass goes, I haven't heard of alot in Hamilton Jay, aside from the folk society and bluegrass clubs. Those are great ways to meet other folks involved/playing bluegrass around town though.

The Skyway Bluegrass club is one I used to check out up until last year, I imagine they still active. I know they used to hold open jams on thursdays in Flambourgh at the Legion hall. Tons of great people always ready to play.

Also, the folk society used to have something at the legion in Waterdown (and occasionally in Hamilton here), but I haven't spoke to anyone from there in years so I have no idea what night, or if they are even still meeting there.

You could always give a call to either hall and inquire. Maybe get some contact info at least.

Getting around the "picky-strum" pretty good now. The full out flat pickin' is still years away for me but BG is pretty much all i try and play these days.

excuse the shameless plug, but Jay you should check out the United Steelworkers of Montreal in a couple weeks. They rip the city-grass well.
