I am now contemplating pouring it out but hoping that I'll find an intoxicated buddy to drink it one night.
And priced more than 12yo here in the states is extremely confusing... it really isn't good

My bottle of Lagavulin actually shivered with embarrassment when I put the GFR next to it on the shelf. Maybe my daughter's boyfriend will drink it with Coca Cola but I doubt it, as the taste is not strong enough to be 'appreciated' over the Coke.

I bought this on sale a while back too, lol. It's not bad. Definitely nothing special, but it's not terrible.

Word on the street:

Terrible stuff, sweet ,sickly immature rubbish, marketed for young drinkers who know no better. Had to give my bottle away after trying two drams. Real nasty stuff.

I don't know whether to drink it or slap it on my face after shaving. Thankfully I chose the latter. Sickly sweet with a chemical smell.

....be forewarned

LONDON — In Scotland, you can buy a 16th-century castle for a little more than a million dollars.

On Wednesday, someone paid a similar amount for a 750-milliliter bottle of single malt whisky described as “the Holy Grail” of the dark alcoholic spirit: just over $1.1 million, a record.

The 60-year-old Macallan Valerio Adami 1926 is “one of the rarest and most desirable bottles ever produced,” according to a specialist at Bonhams, the auction house in Scotland that made the sale. The price included a bid of 700,000 pounds, or about $900,000, plus a £148,000 sales premium.
