The festival will span 11 days, from July 3 to July 13 and feature multiple stages in a number of locations at LeBreton Flats Park and the Canadian War Museum. The Bluesfest site will again feature two stages on the NCC grounds in front of the Canadian War Museum, with four other outdoor stages bordered by the Ottawa River and the War Museum. Additional performances will also be staged in the Barney Danson Theatre inside the War Museum. With the close proximity of the Booth Street transit way , which is a hub for bus transportation, the many bike paths that lead to this area, and vacant neighbourhood parking lots (due to the festival’s evening and weekend schedule) getting to this year’s event should be green and easy.2008 BLUESFEST STAGESThis year’s festival site in downtown Ottawa brings with it a few changes, including the addition of a new ROOTS Stage: The Bank of America Stage (formerly the MBNA Stage)will be located in the heart of the festival site at LeBreton Flats and feature internationally renowned headliners. The Rogers Stage will feature such an impressive array of performers that it could be considered a festival unto itself. Within view of the Bank of America Stage, the Rogers Stage will share a capacity of 30,000—crowd-surfing, anyone? The Blacksheep Stage - Offering an eclectic combination of music including: blues, funk, indie, pop, rock, world and more! The River Stage - Located on the west side of the festival site, this stage will offer something for everyone—from punk to funk, indie to rock and so much more, there’ll be a whole lot of shakin’ goin’ on! The Roots Stage - Festival organizers will introduce a major new stage in 2008, featuring a broad range of “Roots†music performed by world-renown artists . . . and some of the best Gospel acts on the planet! Come and enjoy!

Selfishly I'll be hoping for an early time slot so I can sit back and chill. I really can't imagine an enormous crowd for the Georgia boys. I'd love to be joining you in the Front Row but we won't be sitting there with the kiddos lol. $125 is pretty steep. What do Lawn Seats normally sell for during the General onsale?? dave-O
Nice to see Trevor Alguire on the list, he's doing pretty well for himself. I played most of the guitars on his first album. http://www.trevoralguire.com/Cindy Cashdollar is interesting too, she's an original Cardinal (sort of), played the dobro and steel guitars on Cold Roses, amongst other artists.
