Blane Posted May 29, 2008 Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 Hey, for those of you who like coming up to MTL for shows from time to time, the kind folks at Casa del Popolo have started "Pensione Popolo".4 converted rooms plus a communal kitchen in a house between the Plateau and Mile End. Prices are 30-50 per night per room (some are double rooms with private bathroom) including taxes. Extra cool is that you get a free pass to attend whatever shows are happening at Casa during your stay. Blane Posted May 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted May 29, 2008 well, I don't think you actually have to go to a show there. 40 bucks/night for 2 people in the plateau is a killer deal regardless of whether you take the free tickets or not. That said, 40 bucks minus 10 bucks for a free ticket (say to Bob Wiseman or something like that) amounts to 10 bucks each for accomodation, which is almost rediculous.
