Al DiMeola was great but I was far more impressed by Stanley Clarke and especially Chick Corea. Loved the show. Regarding the noise level, it was obvious that the larger than usual crowd of drunks standing behind the soundboard were really pissing off the attentive jazz fans sitting and trying to listen to the show. phorbesie Posted June 27, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 27, 2008 i enjoyed the end of the show (the rockin fun part). i was kinda bored before that. i walked into a crowd of people STANDING and the people i ended up in front of got mad that i was standing in front of them (though there were at least 5 rows more of people standing in front of me). people are nuts. Thinking of bringing a chair and sitting for this one though as I'm not sure that I have the energy to stand for the full show tonight.You won't be disappointed . While I'm happy just being able to see Brad Mehldau at all, I was hoping to see him back at the library and archives auditorium where I saw him in 2006. That was such a treat.
