c-towns
What would happen if a player hit the ball into an outfield gap and the outfielder realizing that he won't be throwing the runner out, threw the ball over the fence in an attempt to not allow extra bases? SmoothedShredder
If the ball hits the ground and then he throws it out of play... ground rule double... unless the umpire determines that the runner could of made it to third. Who know's if the guy throws it over the fence... the ump might just determine it to be a round-tripper... Either way, it would end up being a extra-base hit, and go against your premise that the fielder would do it not to allow an extra base hit. c-towns
I was thinking of reducing a triple to a double more than a double to a single.
Hal Johnson
But if your on viagara its not a good idea to do a head-first slide. Trust me.
afro poppa
I think there is a delay of game rule or something like that where everyone advances two bases.I am pretty sure that if you throw your glove or something like that its an automatic triple.
