Michael Franti and Spearhead are set to bring their mix of reggae, hip-hop, funk, jazz and rock to cities all over North America this fall.

Last summer, Franti released the Yell Fire! CD and documentary film I Know I'm Not Alone, which captures guerrilla-style footage from his 2004 trip to the war zones of Iraq, Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories. And most recently the band released All Rebel Rockers, the album was recorded in Kingston, Jamaica, with reggae's most prolific production teams, Sly & Robbie (No Doubt, Alicia Keys, Sean Paul, Bob Dylan).

In addition to speaking his mind through his music, Franti is also an acclaimed lecturer for social justice and human rights. He has spoken at many top universities, including Yale, Georgetown and Stanford, and shared the stage with the likes of Bill Clinton, Mohammad Ali, Michael Moore, Ralph Nader and Gloria Steinem.

Historically, Franti has toured non-stop worldwide, early on with his group The Disposable Heroes Of Hiphoprisy supporting U2, followed by his band Spearhead performing with Ben Harper, The Fugees, Dave Mathews, Cypress Hill, Billy Bragg, Matisyahu and many festivals such at Glastonbury, V-Fest and Japan's Fuji Rock.
