Soul Jazz was great. Apparently this band has been playing together for 7 years, how come I've never heard of them before?

Picked up the album, which is pretty well produced. Real afrobeat sound. There are some funky guitar lines on the disk I would have liked to hear live. That said, they were really tight, as horns, keys, percussion and drums.

I was annoyed to find that the cover was $15 at the door despite the fact that it had been advertised at $10. This was the case at Tobab Krew as well. I suppose I should expect it, but I'd appreciate more forthright advertising. It's not like we won't come, but I might decide to purchase advance tickets. The show was definitely worth the money, just be straight up with the info.

Great effort pulling together this festival. If last night was any indication, there should be no problem making this an annual event.
