mattm
does it work in IE (wepages)? If so, it doesn't really make much sense actually. If that is the case then it's definitely firefox related (otherwise it's your connection in general). If it's just firefox, the best thing to do is to delete your old profile and create a new one.The profiles are found under:C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[random letters].defaultReplace [Your Username] with your actual username for windows and browse to the profiles folder. There should only be the one profile there (the folder that has random letters and ends in .default). Delete this folder and restart firefox.NOTE: I suggest you copy bookmarks.html into another folder and then once you've opened firefox again and made the new profile, close firefox, paste the bookmarks file into the new profile folder and open firefox again, all your bookmarks will be back. d_rawk
(^-- what mattm said)I'd be concerned that your proxy settings got hijacked and would want to run a couple malware detection tools, as well. ollie
under my docs and settings, I do not have anything called application data, also, I downloaded Safari and couldn't get it to work either. You might have to turn on the "View Hidden Files" option to see the application folder. Basher
sounds like Firefox has been hijacked. Do a search for hijackthis and run it to see if anything suspicious turns up. Warning though - make sure you read up on HJT before you randomly click "fix". If you do not know what you are doing it can really mess things up. AD
bonjour (the first line in Basher's message) is an apple program associated with itunes, i think you can cross it off the suspicious list.
Basher
Sorry I meant to exclude that one. The line below shows up in lots of logs on the internet and does not appear to be an issue.O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\ Tcpip\..\{56A2354E-1ACB-4E6C-9BC6 -3729395186F0}: NameServer = 216.254.141.13 209.90.160.

rubberdinghy
Yup.Here's another odd thing....If I click on a link that was emailed to me, it pops up in Firefox no problem, and I can surf to different pages in Firefox. If I close that window and try and open firefox again to any page, it comes up white, and says done in the bottom left corner
