Good news!

The Ontario government says it is prepared to develop safety standards that could pave the way for the arrival of low-speed electric cars in the province.

Nice post James! I'm not sure if those are the standards they are talking about in the article!

I checked into this further - costs about $18,500 and it only goes 56 per hour.

might be good for city only use - but seems pretty limited that that.

In the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car?" they suggested that the EV-1 made by Saturn could do upto 130 km/hr - but on only do 40-50 miles.

It seems weird that the new technology is behind what they were able to accomplish in 1996.
