QotD: What's the earliest you've started boosing?

Recommended Posts

Not like when you're still up from the night before, but when you wake up and BOOM! hit the sauce.

Also, mimosas don't count.

Me? In Sackville, there's a place now called George's Roadhouse that in my day was called Steve's Beverage Room. There were these events called Drink & Drowns (charming name) where there would be a lineup at the door at 8:30 in the morning, doors opened at 9:00ish. $5 to get in and small draft for some ridiculously low price (59¢ or summat). Everyone would be crunked by the early afternoon.

Me and some drinkin buds would get together for breakfast and have a couple of warm up drinkypoos (beer) at about 8:00am

Regale me with your tales of early morning debauchery

Every Buffalo Bills home game I attend. Usually into the Rum and Cokes by 8am, in the lot by 9am and then hammered by 12:30 to head into the stadium.

This is usually followed closely by emptying the contraband liquor out of Homers stomach cavity (two pillows), finding the first vendor selling beer and cola- and continuing to drink till cut off time.

Post games are filled with wings, pizza and Rolling Rock- till we pass out after the 4 oclock games around 8ish.

The Blue Bird Motel still invites us to come back so we must be doing something right!

Hammered would be the only way I could watch the Bills as well, guess we have something in common. ;)

Pffffffffft. Tell the truth. That place is called The Blue Oyster and it aint no motel.

As for the original question, I had a ball tourney one summer and Sneaky Pete came to it. We each bought a two-four wanting to finally get through one on our own. Cracked the first beer just before 7am. Pete got through his and I am sure I got through mine (search your feelings Barrett, you know it to be true). I had to give a few away during the day because some people didnt bring enough but more than made up for it at the bar once the tourney was done.

We thought we were going to keep partying when we got back to Kingston but I think we passed out on the bus on the way home and ruined our chances of staying up well into the night.

Oh to be half the age I am now.

Ice fishing in Chatham. Start drinking before sunrise get back home 'round noon. Asleep by 6pm. It was usually Ceasers to start with the big breakfast at 5:30-6. Everyone had a different bottle of shoot-albes and then a 12 pack. The bottles would get passed around by the 4-6 of us for the variety factor. around noon we'd call our buddy's girlfriend to come pick us up. Get home, watch football, pass out. Good times :)

For those of you on here from Chatham the usual group was Me, Tewkesbury, BP, Andy, sometimes Hinnegan and sometimes Ebere.

a friend of mine is a morning person. makes everyone get up when she does. sings this awful song to do it too. }:(

fortunately, we'll get into whiskey or beer to start the day. sit around listening to bluegrass and drinking til mid afternoon, crash out for a bit, then up for more drinks dinner and some sort of debauchery.

i love peterborough.

so, to answer your question, maybe 8?

oh, unless christmas holiday counts - then probably 7 with the kahlua&coffee. :)

A golf tournament normally makes for a pretty early start to things. An 8 am shot-gun start has me drinking vodka and powerades by 7 or so. Just ask Swifty how we did in the club championship last year! Holeyfuck!

The only other times I'll start drinking super early is when I pass out early on a Friday night so I wake up really early on Saturday and start rocking hard! So 8 am maybe ... And Justice For All is commonly the soundtrack for these awesome occasions!

- after-work-party in 1994 = I still smell like a cheeseburger

- friend's parents were out of town = I don't care that I smell like a cheezeburg

- friends of friends of friends show up = some guy on acid freakin' out = me slowly gathering feathers and sewing up a duvet

- freaked-out guy gets escorted home = me having some drinkie-poos

- check my work schedule for the next day: it reads 4-7pm.

- drink, drink, etc, drink

- sun rise = blurred vision/memory = realization of horrible mess = lack of good judgement = drink whatever is left in the fridge

- clean up = bend blinds back to "normal", double-check duvet (realize that best effort counts), mop up puke, shake some people awake and roll them out of the house, chew gum

- arrive to work on-time..."4 - 4, turn-lay 6, turn-lay 2 - 8... (+ grill order)...sear-lay 6-12!!" FACK! ::throws sear tool in closest honey pot::)

- 7pm = not so much. I was scheduled until midnight.

I have no idear what time it was that I started drinking again, but I DO know that two days became one...no, three.

I think I'm going to need about 6-8 drinkypoos in me before I fully understand this.

Good work there Douglas
