Northern Wish
Any locals out there with insight into which clubs would host bands that might be talked about on here? Smaller, entry level gigs of around 100+ capacity?Contacts, #'s, comments etc. would all be greatly appreciated!

booches sista
I've heard a lot of talk about this place in Kingston, but I've never been...http://www.themansionkingston.com/
bradm
How about The Grad Club at Queen's University, Kingston? Their upcoming shows listing includes Hey Rosetta, The D'urbervilles, and Apostle Of Hustle.Aloha,Brad
dave-O
The Grad Club is awesome. I've seen "BarNone" in band listings for Kingston a lot recently, but know nothing about it (other than I assume it's the ex-Smijies).
Booche
Kingston = Toucan for smallish bands. At least that is how I remember it.
Hal Johnson
KW - Boathouse and Lanc, maybe even the Starlight. The Boathouse and Starlight both seem to have music all the time, but Im not sure about the Lanc. I don't think anyone would go there unless the Fatties or Deisel Dog or the like were playing. skelter
Your best bets in Kingston right now are either BarNone or The Mansion. If you've got a solid 100+ draw, The Grad Club is fine, but otherwise you're paying for a PA, etc. If you don't have luck with those, you can the The Merchant Taphouse. The Toucan rarely books live music anymore.
