In case anyone was wondering.

Montreal's Travis Moen left the game at 10:41 when he was cut -- it appeared to be on the forehead -- as Cullen's skate came up after falling head over heels after a check in the corner. A team spokesman said Moen suffered a laceration to the face but did not need to go to hospital.

Glad to see somebody else noticed all the people leaving with time on the clock in a tight game.

Must've been a large Ottawa contingent last night at the Bell Centre. ;)

Hey! When it comes to bashing Kovalev, the line-up starts behind me! :)

My apologies, just giving you some fuel :P

He is done in this league and would be shocked if he isn't bought out or placed on waivers...

Moen was rushed off the ice in the second period bleeding profusely from a deep cut to his eye and forehead when caught by a skate as Ottawa's Matt Cullen went head over heels after a check in a corner.

It took 50 stitches to close the cut, but coach Jacques Martin said Moen was checked by an eye specialist and may be ready to return as early as Thursday. That's when Montreal plays host to the Florida Panthers.

"It cut through an eye but didn't do any damage," said Martin. "It looks like he'll be all right."

I have a feeling that he may have either been misquoted, or his english is that bad. CUT THROUGH AN EYE but no damage??? WTF?

Maybe just an eyelid?

Still that is scary as fuck.

Earlier in the season Josh Georges was grazed in the neck by a skate, and it only left a slight mark.

I am sure I have told you all the story- but I was at the Malarchuk game. Sitting at the blue line of his goal, about 100-125 yards away. I was only 12 at the time, and I nearly threw up. Too bad the woman next to me didn't have "obstructed view" seats.... Yuck!

The puke, blood and silence in the arena haunted me for a while.

Jugular'd.

For the first goal it was was 6 on 4, and the team failed to clear the zone. Both goals were goal mouth scrambles. Total garbage. The Habs were ineffective in the shootout, except for Cammalleri who pulled a SICK move on Miller but he still couldn't beat him.

SHITCOCK!
