I don't like this game.... I wish they'd just leave it a surprise, but oh well......

Here's my wish list (in no particular order) from a quick glanse at the big list.....

Frank Zappa – Hot Rats

The Beach Boys – Pet Sounds

Jimi Hendrix – Electric Ladyland

Grateful Dead – American Beauty (would rather Anthem of the Sun)

The Allman Brothers Band – Eat A Peach

Black Sabbath – Paranoid

Zappa – Aposrophe

Talking Heads – Fear Of Music

Pink Floyd – Meddle

There's lots of other great albums in there, but there's even more crap!

And I don't think Sports was first! I thought I saw Tom Petty go first.

There are a few entries that just don't make sense to me, they should go fast....A Tribute to Jack Johnson?

Just like when California sailed away on Save The Date huh?

I think Phish shoulda left it alone, but whatever, I'm not in the band.

Okay, maybe I'm just bitter there's no Supertramp or Dire Straits on the list, but I doubt it.

Thought I read somewhere that they're in tough for ticket sales. California isn't the north east (and I know phish does well in Cali, but the north east they do crazy well).

No need for them to leave it alone - we're all talking now which is what they want. And we all know that what they say don't mean shit - they make up the rules as they go along!

FWIW I also read somewhere that they rehearsed American Beauty but Mike vetoed it after they got it all worked out.

Genesis – The Lambs Lie Down On Broadway

Hey Ollie' date=' we can only imagine, eh? Fuck that would be sweet ... but I think it would fare better in a smaller venue ;)[/quote']

I don't think The Lamb is widely known enough for them to pick that one. At least that's what I'm telling myself. ;)

I picked Nirvana - Nevermind before this list. It's on this board somewhere.

Anyways, my thinking on this process is that Phish are trying to either avoid backlash this time or at the very least provide their fans with an avenue so that they can familiarize themselves with the music.

Reports from Vegas in 1998 showed a lot of people pissed off because they didnt know Velvet Underground's Loaded as the band played it. Every single one of my friends in attendance complained as did the online community at the time.

Personally, I still thank The Phish for getting me into that album.

If they do Thriller expect some key changes to accomodate their voices.
