rubberdinghy
http://www.tsn.ca/mlb/story/?id=293395One player said there was simply "constant negativity" coming from the manager's office, while another noted that Gaston once said "there aren't any good players in here." Also at issue is Gaston's hands-off, in-game decision making -- a criticism that dates back to his first tenure as manager from 1989-
Hal Johnson
Poor Vernon Wells, he's having a rough go at things.
Thorgnor
I would've never expected this. Just seems wierd, but with Wells not producing, and frankly not many others doing any better, I can see why they'd want to re-direct the blame away from themselves. I just don't believe that the problem is Cito cause they sucked before he took over.
Big Wooly Mammoth
can't remember where I read this, possibly the Star - but the columnist noted that this probably was leaked to the press by Ricciardi. and lo and behold, he gets fired a couple of days later.
